Tuition Schedule

Tuition for the 2014-2015 Concert Season is as follows:

Each NMYO family is required to procure a minimum of $120 in advertisements for the annual NMYO
Program Book fundraiser. Those who do not wish to procure advertisements will be charged $120.
* Intermezzo winds, brass, and percussion play in BOTH Intermezzo and Wind Ensemble.
Symphony winds, brass, and percussion play in BOTH Symphony and Wind Ensemble.
** Musicians in two independent ensembles receive a $100 discount off the combined tuition.
*** Families with three or more children in NMYO receive 30% discount off the lowest tuition.

Audition Fee

Both new and returning musicians must audition each year for placement. A $25 audition fee is charged to new students. Returning musicians do not pay the audition fee.

Tuition Rebates

NMYO families will receive a $25 tuition rebate check each time they refer a musician who becomes a NMYO member paying full tuition. The ‘New Student Referral Coupon’ must be submitted to NMYO prior to the new student’s audition.

Program Book Rebate – Families who procure more than $120 in advertisement revenue will receive a rebate check equal to 25% of the amount which exceeds $120. (Rebates do not apply to ad set-up and design fees.)

Deadlines

July 1: Musicians are notified of their ensemble placement.
July 15: $100 non-refundable tuition deposit, and all commitment forms, is due for each musician.
August 1: Links to music will be emailed to members who have paid the tuition deposit.
Sept. 2: Remaining tuition due for each musician; Tuition Assistance and/or Payment Plan Applications due.
Sept. 29: Program Book fundraiser advertisements due.
Nov. 3: $120 Program Book Requirement due if family has not procured $120 in advertisements.

No musician will receive their music until the tuition deposit is received. Musicians will not be allowed to participate in NMYO rehearsals until forms are complete and the remainder of the tuition payment is received. Within the first four weeks of rehearsal, musicians who withdraw from the program receive a prorated tuition refund. The tuition deposit is non-refundable.

Tuition Assistance/Alternative Payment Plans

Tuition assistance is available for families with demonstrated need. Monthly payment plans, with a required automatic checking account debit, are also available. To request assistance, contact the office at info@nmyo.org
